SUMMARY:Unmasking the Bicycle Bandit — SA Branch Member Night
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging evening as Detective Senior Sergeant Danny Gillan and Detective Brevet Sergeant Adrian Moulds from South Australia Police take us inside the investigation known as Unmasking the Bicycle Bandit. \nBetween 2004 and 2014\, a lone offender committed a series of armed bank robberies across the Adelaide Hills\, earning the media monikers “The Hills Bandit” and “The Bicycle Bandit”. After years of investigative effort\, the offender was finally identified in 2023 through the successful application of Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy (FIGG). \nThis presentation will walk through the investigative strategy\, forensic breakthroughs\, and the long game that ultimately led to the offender’s arrest and conviction. \nLocation: \nUnley Community Centre \n18 Arthur Street\, Unley SA \n  \nDate: Tuesday 31 March 2026 \nTime: 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start \n  \nCost: \n• Members — Free \n• Student non-members (with valid ID) — $5 \n• Non-members — $10 \nRegister here: \nhttps://members.anzfss.org/booking.php?id=106
