DESCRIPTION:In a welcome return to face-to-face events\, the WA Branch invites you to join us for our first education evening of 2023! This seminar will be hosted in the Building 500 Exhibition Space at Curtin University. Registrations at https://members.anzfss.org/booking.php?id=4\n \nFire & Explosion Investigation – The Private Sector Perspective \nInvestigations of fires and explosions is critical not only for criminal justice\, but for public safety. James (Jim) Munday and Keith Murray are Senior Fire Investigators at Fire Forensics; leading experts in fire and explosion investigation in Australia and abroad. In this presentation\, they will provide an insight into the fundamentals of fire investigation. \nAbout the Speakers: \nJim Munday began his career in forensic science in 1972\, having since examined around 4\,000 fire and explosion scenes. He is one of only a few specialists worldwide in the interpretation of thermal damage and injury distribution to injured and deceased victims of fire. \nKeith Murray’s professional career includes 30 years within the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Staffordshire Fire Service\, before joining the private sector in 2018.
