Qld Branch Online Presentation – Kristy Winter – International Committee of the Red Cross: An Anthropology Account

The Qld branch invites you to join us for our next online presentation hosted by Kristy Winter, to be held via Zoom on Tuesday 21st June 2022 at 6pm (AEST).

Kristy is a Forensic Anthropologist by training who currently works for the Forensic Unit of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Switzerland. They received their Masters at Queensland University of Technology in 2019, with the focus on developing equations to assist with the identification of Australian missing persons from their skeletons.

Kristy previously worked for the Forensic Science Section of the International Criminal Court, Queensland University of Technology, Queensland Health, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology. They previously presented a TEDx talk and published editorials in Science.

Kristy’s talk will cover some case studies specific to their experience with the ICRC.
