Northern Territory Branch

I have worked as a Forensic Biologist for the last 19 years with the NTPFES examining items for biological material, processing, analysing and statistically interpreting DNA profiles and presenting the evidence in Court. I am the STRmix trainer for the Northern Territory and have also completed a number of training courses such as Bloodstain Pattern Analysis and Hair Identification.

I have also been a part of the Skeletal Remains Project, the National Criminal Investigation DNA Database (NCIDD) – Integrated Forensic Analysis (NIFA) development team and National Missing Persons Project for a number of years and have experience in obtaining DNA from degraded remains as well as mitochondrial DNA sequencing.

I have over four years’ professional experience in two NATA accredited Forensic Biology laboratories. Since December 2019, I have been employed as a Forensic Biologist at NTPFES, where I am responsible for performing simple and complex examinations of evidentiary items, DNA analysis and reporting.

I works at the Forensic Science Branch, Darwin. I have been Treasurer of the NT Branch of the ANZFSS since 2020, and look forward to future international caving expeditions.

I am a Forensic Chemist and have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemistry and Environmental Science) from the Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Forensic Science from the Western Sydney University. I have been a member of the ANZFSS NT Branch since 2017.
