WA Branch Seminar: Operation Trink

Anecdotal evidence suggests that drink spiking incidents have been increasing in recent years. Determining the actual prevalence of these crimes is challenging, with limited opportunities to obtain information as victims do not have easy access to forensic testing.
The WA Police Force; in collaboration with ChemCentre, the Sexual Assault Resource Centre and Royal Perth Hospital; have developed a novel procedure to collect valuable forensic evidence that can support the victims of these crimes.
All are welcome to join as we hear from Dr. Renee Jelly (WA Police) and Banafsheh Behrouzi (ChemCentre) as they detail the work undertaken to implement this important initiative.
