Stewart Walker, has been a member of the ANZFSS-SA committee since 2001 and has previously held the positions of Vice-President, President, Past President and Newsletter Editor. He came from the Forensic Science Laboratory of Western Australia (CCWA) to take up a position in Forensic, Environmental and Analytical Chemistry at Flinders University. He is now Associate Professor and leads the chemistry and analytical side of the degree and associated research interests. He has presented research and education at ANZFSS, International Association of Forensic Scientists, European AFS and American Academy of Forensic Science conferences. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Science and an overseas member of the Council of Forensic Science Educators. He is an active student supervisor and has a range of research interests.

I hold a PhD in forensic genetics and have previously been employed as a Senior Case Manager in the Biological Sciences Group at the Forensics Services Department of Victoria Police for over a decade. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science at Flinders University. I have been a member of the ANZFSS committee since 2010.

I hold a PhD in Medicine, specialising in Biological Anthropology.  I am currently employed as the Forensic Anthropologist in the Pathology group at Forensic Science SA, where my role is to examine and analyse skeletal remains. I have been a member of the ANZFSS committee since late 2023.

Andrew is currently working as a forensic scientist in the chemistry group at Forensic Science SA. He has previously worked at DSTG and in research at both the University of Nottingham, UK and Flinders University.

Heidi is a final-year PhD candidate at Flinders University, where her research examines the persistence and transfer of human DNA on companion animals found at crime scenes. Her work explores how DNA can be recovered from pets and contributes to a greater understanding of the forensic relevance of human-animal interactions in investigative contexts.

I am currently employed at Forensic Science SA within the Chemistry group, where my role involves the testing of suspected illicit drugs to determine their identity and purity. My background is in both chemistry and physics, with my undergraduate degree focusing on both and my Honours and PhD shifting more towards physics.

I am a forensic scientist working in the Trace Evidence team at Forensic Science SA. I routinely analyse samples for the presence gunshot residue, in addition to performing various chemical comparisons. I come from a chemistry background, with a Bachelor of Science and MPhil in chemistry from the University of Adelaide. On the side, I’m an avid hiker and spend much of my time planning my next trip.
