WA Branch Seminar Series: Frugal Forensics: Sustainable Methods for Limited-Resource Jurisdictions

02/11/2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm AWST

Many jurisdictions face significant resourcing challenges, demanding more sustainable approaches to forensic service provision without compromising quality. The Forensic and Analytical Chemistry Research Group at Curtin have recently proposed a framework of principles for frugal forensics, balancing method performance with jurisdictional limitations.

Join us on Thursday 2nd November to hear from Professor Simon Lewis, head of the research group, as he explains how the concepts of frugal forensics can be applied in the context of latent fingermark detection and the use of alternate approaches suitable for jurisdictions with restricted resources.

This event will be held face-to-face at the Exhibition Space of Curtin University Building 500. The presentation will start at 6:00 pm, with refreshments and mingling from 5:30 pm. Please register by Monday 30th October for catering purposes.
