ANZFSS is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our Members are our most valuable assets. The collective sum of their individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, and unique capabilities, represents a significant part of not only our culture, but our reputation as well.
We embrace and support our members differences in age, colour, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, political affiliation, ancestry, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and other characteristics that make our members unique. Our Members represent our society and as such have a responsibility to always treat others with dignity and respect.
ANZFSS support equitable access, participation, and engagement in all ANZFSS activities for all Members. Diversity and equity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on selection of speakers at symposia; access to society awards; and the ongoing development of an environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity.
