Tasmania Branch

The Tasmanian Branch currently has over 30 members from diverse forensic disciplines. We hold meetings every two months in Hobart (and online), with presentations and discussions on a wide range of specialist areas in forensic science and criminal justice. We invite guest speakers from Tasmania, interstate and overseas.

The Branch facilitates occasional workshops for members. Previous topics have included cognitive bias, human performance testing, and evaluative reporting. Our branch hosted the ANZFSS Symposium in Hobart in 2012, with 750 delegates from 35 countries. We offer travel awards to support members’ attendance at ANZFSS symposia.

We welcome enquiries from prospective members.
