WA Branch Seminar – Mass Graves at Fromelles: A Forensic Investigation

July 22 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm AWST
Free – $10.00

This presentation examines the multidisciplinary forensic investigation at Pheasant Wood, Fromelles, to recover, analyse, and identify soldiers buried in mass graves following the 1916 battle. Historical research, archival records, geophysical survey, and archaeological excavation were combined to locate and recover the remains. A fully integrated forensic approach incorporated archaeology, anthropology, radiography, conservation, and DNA analysis, supported by strict recovery and documentation protocols.
