Presentation: S/Const Chloe Holmes – Crash Investigator

Chloe is a Crash Investigator with the Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) based in Boondall, north of Brisbane City, Queensland. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland and has completed specialised training relevant to her role. Following the severe wet weather events experienced in Queensland in mid-2021 to early 2022, she was tasked to investigate the increase in drowning deaths due to vehicles entering flood water. Chloe has since been active with key stakeholders and overseas agencies and disseminated her findings to TMR, MAIC, QFES, council and disaster management authorities.
Chloe’s talk will cover an overview of her vehicle related flooding fatalities report and the role of FCU within the QPS.
